Yes, seriously. Don't jump to any apocalyptic ideas. I didn't accidentally delete the entire story. No, quite the opposite. I keep the published chapters quite safe.
What I did do, quite intentionally, is delete nearly the entire next chapter of The Boys from East Harbor: Michael. I reread what I'd written and just felt went *BLAH*. It felt that way when I wrote it too. After contemplating, I landed on a scheme for restructuring the narration. None of the details from the first iteration will change, it will just be from a different point of view and told differently.
My apologies for the delay. I will tell you this, however, Chapter 41 is a very important chapter. This next chapter will take you through Thursday evening setting up a big event in the following chapter. Chapter 42 will be Friday and Saturday and in this chapter, you'll learn who Michael has been dreaming of and if the boy of his dreams feels the same way.
I'm off to start the rewrite! Be well, be safe, and keep reading (and writing me)!
Hey @Imsoy310! I just finished the first draft of the chapter. After changing the way I was writing the chapter, I finally felt right and it flowed. As I've mentioned other places, Michael's finding his beau was something I wrote over a year ago so the next chapter already has a lot of content. I'm digging into making that align with chapter 42 before I review and send chapter 42 to my proofreader. I'm thinking we're only a week away of getting that chapter to everyone!
Can we get an estimate for the chapter's arrival?
Thank you @Charlie Cooper and @Loek K ! After shifting gears, the chapter is coming together nicely (and is more compact). As a matter of fact, I just may get the big reveal out earlier than expected!
I don't mind waiting as long as you give us something that you are proud of!
Hey Lukus if you don't feel comfortable with what you wrote, then make it the way you want it..we as readers can wait for the finished product..can't. wait to see what you come up with
