Nervous and excited about sending my first story for publication!
I mentioned in other places, I started the story "But What Am I?" in order to publish a short story while I'm working on my much larger "The Boys of East Harbor: Michael" series. As a reader, I find sometimes find it confusing when there are long gaps between installments of some of the longer stories. My hope is to get Michael to a point that I can write and edit so I can publish weekly and finish the story (err... book) in that sequence. Right now the book is over 260,000 words and I'm no where near finished. Should I publish sooner anyway? Let me know what you think!
Today I published a story that isn't part of any of my planned works. I was inspired and stopped to write the story. Really, the premise just popped into my head and I let the characters take the story where it would go. Once the story was finished, I realized that Mason has a lot more adventures ahead of him and that you might like to read about them. Right before I hit send, I edited everything to turn the story into a the first part of a series.
I'm excited to received feedback! Share, discuss, and be good to each other!
