It's so weird. I was planning an overseas vacation this year then COVID hit. Now, six months later, home and work are the same place. No Starbucks for a triple macchiato and a few hours of focused writing time. As someone who works best with large blocks of time to get large projects finished, even work is a struggle these days.
With "use it or lose it" paid-time off, I waited to see if travel would become safer. Now I'm needing to burn PTO that I can't carry over to the next year. I was thrilled to take the week off before Labor Day for a long break from work and to try to focus on writing. However, I'm vacationing (or should I say "staycationing") in my place of work. Really not taking to the lack of separation between work and home. (That's why I left contracting to go corporate in the first place.)
Despite the struggle, I have some good news:
Chapter 32 - submitted to be posted!
Chapter 33 - first draft finished
Chapter 34 - first draft finished
Chapter 35 - first draft in works
And a special thank you to everyone who posts comments or sends messages! Your kind words, questions, predictions, fan art, and other messages are important to me. They help me keep going when I'm struggling with everything else.
Be well!
